Social Media Community Guidelines

Public Sector Retirement Educators manage a number of social media channels. To create informative and engaging communities where we can share information and have conversations, we ask that all users review and heed the following guidelines.

Social media etiquette
To keep PSRE’s social media communities safe and useful for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind. Any comment we determine not to be relevant is subject to removal.

Language
Keep it clean.
Do not use profanity or any derogatory or otherwise offensive language or content on our posts or page.

Respect
Keep it friendly.
Do not post racist, sexist, homophobic, or any other discriminatory comments or content on our posts or page. Disagreements are okay; hate speech is not.

Relevance
Keep it on the topic of the post.
Refrain from political discussion, and do not advertise for yourself or another individual on our posts or page. Comments containing advertising or solicitation, or external links, as well as redundant posts are often not perceived as valuable and are likely to be removed. No spamming.

Privacy
Keep it safe.
Do not post investment-account-specific information or other personal identifiable information on our posts or page. To protect your privacy and keep your accounts secure, we cannot discuss account-specific information on our public websites.

Advice/Investments
Keep it neutral.
Do not provide specific investment advice, services, strategies, or product recommendations. Do not offer your own services or market your firm on our posts or page. Visit PSRE Support for questions about your accounts and for customer service inquiries.

Who controls the comments?
PSRE reserves the right to remove and moderate comments, including restricting users from commenting on our page who (i) don’t follow these guidelines, (ii) operate online pages containing offensive content or serving as promotional sites, or (iii) violate any of these terms or our website Terms of Use.
